Threat Intelligence

Hacks and exploits on blockchain platforms are virtually daily news. We hear a lot about what the hacks are, who has been hit and even more about how much money has been lost. What we don't hear much about is the who, how and why.

Scope

The scope to threat intelligence services is purely down to application type, type of infrastructure and how much money is ultimately held in or is moving through your platform. These factors play off against each other to define, what's classed as low hanging fruit and which might be a target for  a more sophisticated actor.

With a vast experience of threat actors across a wide range of sophistication, all with different TTPs and motivations, we are coming from an angle which will optimize your understanding of your specific threats and how to defend against them.

What Is A Threat?

Threats come in all shapes and sizes. A threat is anyone who is able to cause disruption to the operations of a platform. This typically manifests in the theft or locking of funds (essentially a blockchain DDOS).

The blockchain ecosystem represents an attractive target to all types of malicious actors. Script kiddies, criminal groups and APTs all have a significant part to play in the threat to the integrity of any environment or platform.
